Expert Bio

Dr. Syril Keena Que, a board-certified dermatologist and Harvard-trained Mohs surgeon, is assistant director of the Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship and an assistant professor of clinical dermatology at the IU School of Medicine.

She is director of dermatologic surgery and cutaneous oncology at IU Health in Carmel. She specializes in skin cancer surgery, including Mohs surgery and facial reconstruction for the treatment of basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. Her other clinical interests include melanoma surgery, treatment of rare skin tumors and skin cancers in high-risk populations, including patients with organ transplants, leukemia/lymphoma and other forms of chronic immunosuppression.

Que graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, received her medical degree with honors from the New York University School of Medicine and served as chief resident during her dermatology residency at UConn, where she received an Outstanding Resident Award. She subsequently completed a fellowship in micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She also obtained a Master of Public Health degree at the Harvard School of Public Health.
