NGI Pitch and Matchmaking Event

When: 8 June 2022 from 10:00 CEST

Where: Online | Hybrid

The Next Generation Internet (NGI) is a European Commission initiative that aims to shape the development and evolution of the Internet into an Internet of Humans. An Internet that responds to people’s fundamental needs, including trust, security, and inclusion, while reflecting the values and the norms all citizens enjoy in Europe.

To do so, the NGI initiative has already supported around 1,000 Internet researchers and innovators involved in many hundreds of projects with €250m (2018-2020).
The many innovative solutions are all available on the NGI Portal!

The TETRA Project, as business accelerator of the NGI initiative, delivers capacity building services and personalised mentoring to NGI researchers and innovators to support them scaling their projects and businesses.
As final event of the Project, we are pleased to organise the first Pitch and Matchmaking event for the whole NGI Community!

The event is structured in two parts:

  1. Morning session: dedicated to TETRA materials (guidelines, reports, recordings, etc.) available for NGI innovators; Overview of the NGI Initiative and its impact; Upcoming Open Calls
  2. Afternoon session: dedicated to a Pitch competition with external investors as jury members; Matchmaking session and TETRA Alumni

As non-NGI participant, you will discover a whole set of professionally drafted business-acceleration-related materials (e.g., Intellectual Property Guide for IT developers; Term sheet and Due diligence factsheet) and a disruptive community of innovators (including their applications, software and projects) who are working to change the Internet as we know it.

As NGI participant...read below!

Deadline for registration: 31 May 2022!

About the Pitch competition

First of all, if you want to pitch your NGI solution to investors, you first need to be selected!
NGI Innovators who will be selected for the pitch competition, will receive a specific pitch rehearsal from Startup Division one week before the event. You will be contacted via email!
The pitch presentation should last 3 minutes; while Q&A session will last up to 5 minutes.
The 3 selected NGI teams will be able to access Tenderio Plus Package for free, more info below!

About the Matchmaking session

During the Matchmaking session, NGI participants will be able to meet with 2 types of profiles:

  1. Peer NGI innovators running parallel projects: discover the NGI Community, look for collaborations, exchange views on the future Internet of Humans and how you are contributing to it!
You will be assigned to one of the clusters below (Breakout rooms) and be able to present your project to other innovators. Similar technologies, different applications, but same objectives!
We are creating more Clusters (Breakout rooms) as we receive applications, to tailor them around your projects and facilitate interesting knowledge share.
    • Big Data, machine learning and AI
    • Decentralized solutions (ledger and blockchain)
    • Healthcare and well-being technology
  2. TETRA Start-up Team: ask for tips and short mentoring to experts (external and from TETRA Consortium) in the field of Intellectual Property; Fundraising; Investment readiness; New markets, sales and business models and much more!

If you register to the Matchmaking session, you will be contacted via email with all details!

The best 3 teams participating in the pitch competition selected by the Jury, will be able to access Tenderio Plus Package for free.
