About ecosystem

What is it?

The evolve ecosystem aims to establish and nurture a network that will empower open innovation based on the testbed that the evolve project is building.

The evolve ecosystem brings together all the policy makers, research organizations, engineers, developers and companies acting as end-users that are actively working on the fields of high-performance computing, big data and cloud. It consists both of technology and user stakeholders that may be interested in a subsequent commercialization phase, as well as further workflow owners that may directly benefit evolve by bringing new datasets and business cases to the testbed capabilities. The evolve ecosystem will also facilitate innovative enterprises (large industries, SMEs, creative start-ups and university students – bachelor, master, PhD level) to develop and test their novel solutions.

The evolve ecosystem is an activity initiated at the evolve project. The evolve project is a European Innovation Action funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme which is building a large-scale testbed that integrates technology from the high-performance computing, big data and cloud worlds. The testbed is able to process unprecedented dataset sizes and deal with heavy computation, while allowing shared, secure, and easy deployment, access, and use. The benefits of the platform are being demonstrated through pilots implemented in several domains, mostly from mobility (autonomous vehicle, ground mass transportation, maritime transport), agriculture and urban planning.

Why be a member?

As members of the evolve ecosystem, you’ll be able to benefit from the evolve platform by:

  • receiving exclusive invitations to the testbed’s technical demonstrations, webinars and training activities,
  • being able to develop and test your novel solutions through the evolve platform,
  • receiving selected information related to the platform developments, outcomes and upcoming demonstration sessions through a dedicated mailing list,
  • being able to publicize your activities using the evolve project dissemination means, e.g. social networks, newsletters and mailing list,
  • receiving a priority invitation to the evolve Industry Day (taking place in the last quarter of 2021).

There are no legal obligations both for the evolve project and the ecosystem members.
