Energy In Transition and the Impacts for Site Investigation and Characterisation

The SUT OSIG Committee is very pleased to introduce our first get-together of 2021 focussing on the exciting challenges around ‘Energy In Transition’ and the ‘Impacts for Site Investigation and Characterisation’.
We’d love you to join us on 16th September at St. James’ Park in Newcastle upon Tyne for a full-day seminar, drinks reception, and dinner.
Industry leaders will be presenting on four key topics:
- Fixed offshore wind
- Floating offshore wind
- Carbon Capture & Storage
- Decommissioning
The organisers of this event are committed to the health, safety and well being of all participants and we are continually monitoring the advice from the Chief Medical Officer and UK Governments. While most restrictions have been lifted we are taking the following measures to ensure the event is held safely:
- Our venue is the largest one at St James Park and we are limiting attendance to 50% of capacity
- Numerous sanitation stations are available through the venue
- The room has windows on both sides, which will be open to allow cross ventilation
- The air conditioning is a fresh air system and does not circulate used air
- St James Park has in place a rigorous cleaning regime
- We suggest that all delegates take a lateral flow test within 48 hours of attending
- We ask delegates not to attend if they have any symptoms of Covid-19 (refunds at organisers discretion)
Should Government guidelines change and prevent the event from being held, we will arrange an alternate date. Tickets may be rolled over or refunded.
