UK-based internationally renowned artist Julian Germain has been making new work in the lead up to the Commonwealth Games, in collaboration with four and five generation families in the region. The project is a celebration of families, individuals, diversity and the people of Birmingham and the Black Country.
GENERATIONS is a large-scale photographic portrait project based on the aesthetic of the family portrait. Germain's camera captures extraordinary detail and character in his photographs, which provoke important questions about our life and times.
