Hartpury University has made an impressive league table debut in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022, ranking highly in areas including Teaching Quality and Student Experience.

Hartpury, which was granted university status just three years ago, has ranked in the top 15% of all UK universities for Teaching Quality and top 25% for Student Experience.

The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide includes the definitive rankings of 132 British universities, based on their performance in areas for undergraduates such as quality of teaching, facilities and graduate career prospects.

Regionally, the Gloucestershire institution is ranked 2nd out of the 13 universities in the South West for Teaching Excellence and 3rd for Student Satisfaction, based upon the National Student Survey.

Hartpury placed highly for Teaching Quality within its specialist subject rankings too, including 5th and 7th in the UK respectively for its animal science and agriculture degrees.

The university also ranked in the top 20% of UK universities for services/facilities spend, in recognition of its investment per student. Hartpury continues to invest in campus facilities including the recently opened Agri-Tech Centre and with future developments to include a new University Learning Hub.

Students currently have access to the largest equine educational establishment in the world, cutting-edge sports facilities, an extensive animal collection and therapy centre, and a commercial farm.

Hartpury University is home to more than 2,000 students studying undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in subjects including sport, equine, animal, agriculture and veterinary nursing, as well as postgraduate research and PhD qualifications.

It was also recently ranked number one in the UK by full-time postgraduate students in the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey 2021, including number one in the UK for its postgraduate sports degrees, for which it achieved 100% student satisfaction.

Rosie Scott-Ward, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Hartpury University said: “We’re thrilled to have received such positive results from The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.
