Art Zoom session for parents and carers of babies born in the last 12 months.



This is not a session for your baby, it’s time and space for you. 



Each session is led by a different artist but follows the same welcoming and supportive format. You will have a playful time, making immediate 'no pressure' artworks and enjoying some time and space to chat, if you like. 

This month artist Nancy Nightingale will guide participants in a drawing session exploring tonal value and mark making. 

Each participant will create their own desktop still life, with lighting as the main focus, constructing either a dramatic/cinematic scene, which creates long harsh shadows, or something flatter and more uniform.  Participants will then be guided to make a rough key of five tones, each with their own texture, utilising these to build an image. There are no limits as to what material can be used.

You will need:
A lamp/light source

3-5 found objects
Sketchbook / paper
Drawing tool e.g. pencil/charcoal/pen/crayon/ink
