Retrofit 101

Want to learn more about retrofit? Unsure whether a career in retrofit is for you?

Our informative short course will give you the essential information you need to understand what retrofit is, learn more about the industry, and grow your knowledge. Plus, it’s free!

Level 2: UNDERSTANDING DOMESTIC RETROFIT

This qualification is the ideal place to start your retrofit journey. As the title suggests, it gives you a good understanding of what’s actually involved in domestic retrofit.

Level 3: IN DOMESTIC
RETROFIT ADVICE

Retrofit advisors give independent guidance to homeowners and residents, helping them understand retrofit and which options are available for their homes.

LEVEL 3: ENERGY EFFICIENCY FOR OLDER & TRADITIONAL BUILDINGS

The ABBE Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings is an essential qualification for aspiring and qualified retrofitters, as well as construction and housing professionals.

Level 4: IN DOMESTIC
RETROFIT ASSESSMENT

Retrofit assessors visit properties and carry out surveys. These surveys are necessary to inform the decisions about which energy efficiency measures should be installed.

Level 5: RETROFIT COORDINATION AND RISK MANAGEMENT

Retrofit coordinators play a pivotal role in the UK’s efforts to decarbonise its housing stock. Central to PAS 2035, the role protects homeowners and clients by managing projects in compliance with the standard.
