  • A digital badge is a smart, simple, visual way of recognising non-accredited learning. A useful tool for individuals and organisation earners to display on social media accounts, email signatures, LinkedIn or on a digital CV.

  • Badges recognise important accomplishments and achievements outside of qualifications.

    These are often highly valued, transferable skills which are not well documented.

    Badges provide verified references for a set of skills, giving credibility to the earner and the organisation issuing them.

    Digital Badges give earners the power and language to better tell their experiences and journey by clearly displaying activities they have engaged with and the skills they have gained along the way in a language that employers understand.

    Badges are easily accessible, portable and shareable to be used when you need them. No more forgotten or lost certificates.

  • There are lots of different digital badging platforms. Region of Learning hosts an online badging community with Navigatr.

    Sign-up is free and you can explore the digital badges available in your area. You can also find badges available through Credly, City and Guilds and Open University here too.

  • All Open Badge Standard Digital badges are portable and shareable, which means you can download your badges to use where you like, such as on your email signature in a digital CV or placed in a digital backpack or wallet..

    You can use the share function within the navigatr or on Credly and Open Badge Factory to share on social media, LinkedIn and beyond.
