In June 2023, we purchased a new global headquarters to support our growing operations and expanding workforce. The modern 22,256-square-foot administrative building is located on a 12-acre property in the city of Agoura Hills, CA, just west of Los Angeles. We look forward to having clients and business partners visit us to experience firsthand our new home’s peaceful and inspiring environment for themselves.
“Our new global command center will enable us to provide a healthier, more comfortable and supportive work environment to help our employees thrive personally and professionally,” says Jeff Kritzer, BendPak president and CEO. "We look forward to this exciting new chapter in our company's history.”
With continued business expansion, we needed a facility that could accommodate our current and future growth, while also providing our employees a dynamic and energizing work environment. The new HQ features stunning views of the Santa Monica Mountains, presenting a serene atmosphere that inspires creativity and fosters productivity. Designed to help promote relaxation, innovation, and constructive thought among our staff members, it features Zen-like elements such as a stunning waterfall, babbling brook, and peaceful koi pond, along with abundant outside relaxation and meeting spaces. The building includes private offices, conference rooms, and open workspaces.

"We are thrilled to own this landmark property," says Don Henthorn, BendPak founder and chairman emeritus. “Our business is booming, and we’ve simply outgrown our current space. We believe this location will enhance our ability to serve our customers, while also providing our team with an uplifting and energizing work environment.”
Built in 2012 for the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the building was designed by ZGF, an architectural firm and global leader in sustainable and regenerative design. It sets a regional precedent for environmental stewardship and earned LEED Platinum © certification, the highest level available for sustainable buildings from the U.S. Green Building Council. An open and modern design with plenty of natural light, it features sustainable design elements such as a green roof, solar panels, and a rainwater harvesting system. It also features a sophisticated climate control system, photovoltaics (PV), thermal solar hot water tubes, and extensive water-saving elements.

A passive downdraft buoyancy system takes advantage of the change in the density of air as it is cooled and heated to effectively move air in the building. This system eliminates the need for energy to power conventional HVAC air conditioning systems. In warm weather, air enters upper chimneys and is cooled by chilled water circulating in a myriad of cooling coils. The volume of air coming into the chimneys and the amount of air leaving the building through louvers in the atrium is controlled by a sophisticated building management system, which also senses wind and sun direction. In cooler months, when perimeter heating is needed, the air coming in through the chimneys is heated by coils near the plenum space to cause it to rise within the offices. Rooftop solar hot water tubes provide all the hot water needed.
The net-zero energy building harnesses the power of the sun to generate all the power it needs through the array of solar photovoltaic panels covering its parking canopy. This feature also highlights BendPak’s commitment to sustainable practices and reducing our carbon footprint.

Thanks to our customers and dedicated employees, BendPak’s business has been on a long-term growth trajectory, and we have made a number of real estate expansions as a result. In 2020, we completed a 50,000-square-foot addition to our Santa Paula, CA, distribution and manufacturing center and opened a new 100,000-square-foot distribution and administrative building in Alabama. Earlier in 2023, we announced the completion of a new 90,000-square-foot building on the Alabama campus. Operations at these facilities will continue as we move client and customer service, engineering, product development, marketing, information technology, human resources, accounting and management to the new HQ.

“Our new headquarters is not just a physical space, it's a reflection of our company culture and values," says Rudy Diaz, chief operating officer. "With three strategic campus locations across the United States, we’ll be even better positioned to provide our customers with the highest-quality products and services, while also increasing our capacity for further growth and innovation.”
