Our collaborative effort with ZapCarbon – the Healthy Home Sensor – has been named winner of the IoT Social Impact Award which recognises the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology to build a better world. The Healthy Homes Sensor, developed to address fuel poverty, brings to the mass market a simple yet highly effective solution to a widespread problem in social housing communities around the world.
“The impact of IoT technology and connected devices can be seen in all walks of life. Whether deployed in smart homes, smart cities or healthcare applications, these connected devices offer the opportunity to transform people’s daily lives and deliver a positive impact,” said Tim Calyton, Sales Director TT Electronics. “As winner of the IoT Social Impact Award, the TT/ZapCarbon Healthy Home Sensor exemplifies our motto of using IoT to build a better world.”
A panel of judges narrowed the IoT Social Impact Award nominees to 10, with public voting selecting the overall award winner.
