I was diagnosed with cancer 13th July 2021 after several investigative procedures at the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary they transferred me to The Christie Hospital in Manchester. It was then confirmed my diagnoses was a little known and rare cancer called PMP (Pseudomyxoma Peritonei) I would require surgery to discover the full extent of the disease. Following a six hour debulking operation and an extended stay at the hospital plus weeks of recovery at home, the result being the cancer was extensive and chemotherapy was the best way of keeping the issue under control for as long as possible.

After 2 years of treatments and operations fighting the disease, I have decided to undertake this gruelling challenge with my wife Amanda, daughter Courtney and sister Joanne to raise awareness and help in research for this rare and still underfunded cancer.

This is to say a massive thankyou to all wonderful people at The Christies Hospital, including Dr.Fish, Dr.Barriuso, Dr.Borg and my oncology nurse Rebecca Halstead who's advice, support and help has been truly amazing and I will always be incredibly grateful.
