Ascension strikes - Wichita and Austin RN media availability
Registered nurses in Texas and Kansas at three Ascension hospitals are moving forward with historic one-day strikes on Tuesday, June 27, to protest Ascension's resistance to bargain in good faith with RNs for contracts that would help correct the endemic staffing crisis.
Nurses will be available to the media at the below times and locations.
Wichita
Monday, June 26
STRIKE PREPARATION. Nurses will be gathering to make posters and picket signs for the strike the next day.

Tuesday, June 27
STRIKE START. Nurses will be walking out of the building and beginning their strike.

COMMUNITY RALLY. Nurses from Ascension Via Christi St. Francis and St. Joseph will be joined by elected leaders, community allies, and supporting union members.
